Personal Items

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones/devices are to be handed in to reception every morning. Any student using a mobile phone or personal music player in school without permission will have it confiscated, parents will be called and encouraged to come and collect it.

The school cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal possessions. The school asks that student do not bring into personal items that are valuable or has sentimental value.

Energy Drinks

Delta Independent School has a ban on energy drinks and ask parents/carers to inform their child of this and ask them not to purchase energy drinks before school or during the school day.

Vapes

Any sort of smoking or vaping is NOT permitted at school. If a student brings a vape into school, it must be handed into reception on arrival at school.

Immediate exclusion will be applied to any students who:

• Bring onto school premise any of the following prohibited items as definded by law.

• Knives or weapons

• Stolen items

• Alcohol

• Fireworks

• Illegal drugs

• Pornographic images

• Any article that the member of staff reasonably suspects has been, or is liley to be, used to commit an offence, or

• To cause personal injury to, or damage to the property or, any person (including the pupil)
