At Delta Independent School, we believe that the strongest outcomes are achieved when students, parents/carers and school staff work together in partnership.

We are committed to creating a safe, caring and ambitious learning environment where every student is encouraged to develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

Our Students

As a student at Delta Independent School, I will:

  • Treat everyone with kindness, respect and consideration.

  • Attend school regularly, arrive on time and be ready to learn.

  • Take pride in my learning and always try my best.

  • Ask for help whenever I need support.

  • Respect the school environment and the property of others.

  • Take responsibility for my own behaviour and the choices I make.

  • Use technology and social media responsibly and respectfully.

  • Follow school expectations regarding mobile phones and hand them in at the beginning of lessons.

  • Represent Delta Independent School positively both in and out of school.

  • Follow all safety expectations, including when travelling on school transport.

Parents & Carers

As a parent/carer, I will:

  • Encourage excellent attendance, punctuality and positive behaviour.

  • Support the school's behaviour expectations, rewards and consequences.

  • Work in partnership with the school to help my child achieve their full potential.

  • Monitor my child's progress through the Arbor Parent Portal.

  • Encourage my child to complete homework and engage fully in their learning.

  • Attend parents' evenings, review meetings and other school events whenever possible.

  • Keep the school informed of any circumstances that may affect my child's wellbeing, attendance or learning.

  • Ensure my contact details remain up to date.

  • Support the school in promoting safe and responsible use of mobile phones, the internet and social media.

  • Contact the school whenever I have concerns so that we can work together to resolve them.
