Home-School Agreement

Delta provides an inspirational environment in which students flourish. Here, all students experience a strong sense of belonging, enjoy freedom from stereotyping and grow limitless aspirations. The wealth of opportunities available, both in and out of the classroom, ensure that Delta students develop the self-confidence, resilience and moral courage needed when achieving ambitions.

Delta Student:

I Understand what is expected of me at Delta and i will always:

  • Respect all members of the school community and the school environment,

  • Attend school regularly and on time

  • Come to school with a positive attitude and think of others so we can all succeed.

  • Complete classwork and homework to the best of my ability and on time.

  • Ask for help when i need it

  • Take an active part in the Delta community by participating, contributing and enjoying!

  • Take responsibility for my personal safety by following the rules whilst been transported on the school minibus

  • Use social media responsibility, not to make a negative comments about the school or individuals.

  • Hand my phone in at the beginning of each lesson.


Parent/Carer:

I will:

  • Support the school’s behaviour expectations, sanctions and rewards and encourage my son or daughter to respect them.

  • Ensure that my son or daughter attends school regularly and on time.

  • Take an interest in all aspects of my son or daughter’s life at school by following the Engage system updates (Parent Portal)

  • Create a supportive environment for any homework issued and contact the teacher if this is not possible.

  • Attend Parents’ Evenings, Information Evenings, and other discussions about my son or daughter’s progress.

  • Keep the school informed about any issues that may affect my son or daughter’s work or behaviour.

  • Keep the school informed of any change in my contact details including address, telephone numbers and email,

  • Support the school when requested to ensure that my son or daughter is not posting or receiving anything inappropriate on social media sites.

  • Reinforce the need to hand in mobile phones at the beginning of lesson.

We will:

  • Provide a safe, happy and secure environment for your son daughter at all times, promoting the highest standards in work and behaviour

  • Provide a variety of opportunities beyond classroom to enrich, support or extend learning.

  • Meet your son or daughter’s learning needs by providing a balanced and varied curriculum.

  • Encourage your son or daughter to take pride in their work and celebrate their success and achievement.

  • Provide freedom from stereotyping and encourage individual growth by fostering mutual respect

  • Keep parents informed about their son or daughter’s progress and general school matters by communicating with them directly wherever possible, update the Engage system daily basis where needed and to respond to queries within 48 hours.
