Behaviour
We are very proud our Ofsted comments that:
“Building trusting, respectful relationships with students lies at the heart of the school’s work. This supports students’ positive engagement in learning and improvements in behaviour.”
We work very hard with our students to ensure that these standards are maintained. It is a basic expectation of our school community that we treat each other and our buildings with respect and care. This is part of our ethos and what makes Delta students so special.
Students are expected to arrive in time for school and to be prepared for lessons. Exemplary behaviour in lessons is about more than simply being compliant, we want our students to behave in a way that means they can work to their best, as can those who share their classes. This means being ready to listen, discuss, question and contribute.
We also remind students that they are showing a very public face to the local community when out of the school and we are pleased that our students are eager to express their pride in Delta through their behaviour.
We are keen to show our students that our behaviour affects those around us and that our behaviour has consequences. our students are routinely rewarded and praised for positive actions, If their actions are not positive, we use a range of sanctions, that can be found in the policy section of this website.
